Transjet Sportsline

931 Transjet Sportsline 100 gsm - the new generation of TACK

Have you had trouble with ghosting/double imaging (see pict 1) and wondered how to resolve it?

If so, you may have faced this issue due to:

  1. Textile shrinkage Textiles (especially when they contain very stretchable spandex) can shrink up to 5% when being heated to approximately 205°C (400°F). Due to the shrinkage, a ghosting effect can occur on the fabric after the transfer (see pict 1). This is very noticeable on the outer edges of the transferred images but less noticeable towards the middle of the image, because the textile shrinks towards the middle.
  2. Paper/textile separation When the flat-bed press is opened after the transfer, the paper may separate slightly from the textile and then touch again. pict 1: fuzzy image caused by ghosting As the paper is still above the sublimation temperature point of 120°C (250°F) ink may still be released from the paper and cause a ghosting effect where it touches the textile again. Ghosting can also happen when you use a calander press as the paper and the textile is separated directly after the transfer. The separation after the nip of drum and felt is the critical point.

What does 931 Transjet Sportsline do for you?

  • 931 Transjet Sportsline looks and feels like our 831 Transjet paper. In the transfer process though, the paper becomes “tacky” and sticks to the textile.
  • The “tack” keeps the textile under tension during the sublimation process reducing the amount of textile shrinkage. This solves issue # 1 and results in crisp detail right across the image area.
  • Once the paper and textile have cooled below the sublimation temperature point of 120°C (250°F) you can easily release the paper from the textile (see pict 2). This solves issues #2, removing ghosting and increasing line sharpness and detail.

“Make it simple, just peel off the paper from your transferred fabric”

Using 931 Transjet Sportsline you will achieve

COST SAVINGS

higher production, less reprints – you control the release of the paper from the textile (lower waste rate).

HIGHEST QUALITY

sharp text and fine lines as there is no movement between the paper and the fabric.

CONVENIENCE

an all-in-one solution. No more messy, smelly spray adhesives required to “stick” the textile to the paper.

PREDICTABILITY

the same color brilliance and release that you are familiar with from the Transjet paper range.
